The 182nd Atmaca Squadron (182. Atmaca Filo) is one of the prominent fighter-bomber squadrons of the Turkish Air Force. Originally established as the 112th Squadron in 1948, it was restructured and renamed the 182nd Atmaca Squadron in 1951. In 1987, the squadron underwent modernization by incorporating American-made F-16C/D Fighting Falcon fighter jets into its arsenal. Stationed at Diyarbakır’s 8th Main Jet Base Command, the 182nd Squadron plays a significant role in various combat and training missions. The squadron actively participates in both NATO and national defense operations, being recognized as a crucial component of the Turkish Air Force with its modern aerial warfare capabilities.
