The Turkish Airlines Fokker F-27 Fairchild, registered as TC-KOZ, was among the aircraft that joined the fleet in the 1960s and 1970s. Manufactured by the Dutch company Fokker, the TC-KOZ was a short-to-medium range turboprop aircraft. It was primarily used by Turkish Airlines for domestic flights and was particularly noted for its reliability and its ability to land on short runways, making it well-suited to Turkey’s diverse geographical conditions. However, as aviation technology advanced and faster jet-powered aircraft became more common, the Fokker F-27s were eventually phased out of the fleet.
