On March 19, 2019, the Japan Air Self-Defense Force (JASDF) decommissioned its 302nd Squadron, which included the specially marked F-4EJ aircraft with serial number 07-8428. Before being retired, this aircraft was adorned with a unique white paint scheme. This special design was created to honor the aircraft’s many years of service and to pay tribute to the squadron’s distinguished history. The disbandment of the 302nd Squadron, along with the display of this white-painted F-4EJ, stands as a significant moment in the history of the JASDF.
